Resource Planning Specialist

The Resource Planning Specialist is a critical role responsible for driving proactive, enterprise-wide resource planning across AE2S. With full-time dedication to this mission, this individual will partner closely with Operations Managers (OMs), Practice Leaders (PLs), and Project Managers (PMs) to ensure effective workload sharing, long-range utilization forecasting, and data-informed decision-making through the Deltek Vantagepoint platform.
RESOURCE PLANNING DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT
- Build and implement a firm-wide resource planning framework aligned with AE2S’s growth and workload objectives.
- Develop and maintain a rolling forecast of staff utilization by geography and practice.
- Lead and model a shift from reactive to proactive planning using data from Deltek Vantagepoint.
COLLABORATION & WORKLOAD ALIGNMENT
- Serve as AE2S’s central point of contact and specialist in resource planning data.
- Support OMs, PLs, and PMs to facilitate workload balancing and optimize resource allocation including training and ongoing support.
- Assist in identifying future staffing needs, capacity constraints, and resource-sharing opportunities across offices and practices.
PLANNING & SYSTEM MANAGEMENT
- Work with Project Quality Director and Data Information Specialist to maintain and enhance resource planning workflows within Deltek Vantagepoint.
- Conduct regular workload analysis to identify trends, gaps, and recommendations for optimization.
- Develop, refine, and deploy tools, templates, and dashboards to drive planning consistency.
- Coordinate monthly and quarterly planning cadences, update protocols, and reporting timelines.
EDUCATION & COMMUNICATION
- Act as one of the key champions and trainers in the rollout and adoption of Deltek Vantagepoint for resource planning.
- Lead and assist ongoing education and communication around resource planning expectations and best practices.
- Engage with OMs and other key stakeholders to gather feedback and support continuous improvement.
